چکیده

BACKGROUND: Neuropathic pain (NP) is common and often resistant to conventional analgesics. Among different types of noninvasive brain stimulation techniques, transcranial direct current (tDCS) has been widely used mitigate in patients with NP. OBJECTIVE: The aim this study was review the effects tDCS on management various STUDY DESIGN: Narrative review. METHODS: A PubMed search conducted for articles published until October 1, 2020, using treat key phrase, pain, identify potentially relevant articles. following inclusion criteria were applied article selection: (1) studies involving NP (2) that Review excluded from analysis. RESULTS: total 524 identified. After reading titles abstracts assessing eligibility based full-text articles, 34 publications included our Overall, results suggest induced reduction due stroke or spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, trigeminal neuralgia. There insufficient evidence validate efficacy treating other painful conditions, such as complex regional syndrome, phantom origins. LIMITATIONS: did not include indexed databases than PubMed. CONCLUSION: may be beneficial stroke, Further are recommended NPs. KEY WORDS: Transcranial stimulation, neuropathic central post-stroke neuralgia

Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation in Neuropathic Pain

Neuropathic pain (NP) is one of the most common problems contributing to suffering and disability worldwide. Unfortunately, NP is also largely refractory to treatments, with a large number of patients continuing to report significant pain even when they are receiving recommended medications and physical therapy. Thus, there remains an urgent need for additional effective treatments. In recent y...

P153: Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) for the Treatment of PTSD: A Brief Review of Effectiveness

Cognitive neuroscience prefers a reductionist approach to normal and abnormal brain functions. So, it tries to reducing causes and indices of cognitive and neural processes, in order to increases the accuracy in investigation and manipulation of variables. As a comparison, common diagnostic criteria for mental disorders utilize multidimensional global criteria that existence of some non-overlap...

W6: Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation Workshop

It is an Intensive 1-day course for introducing utilizing transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in an applied format. This technique is a noninvasive brain stimulation that uses direct electrical currents over the head to stimulate specific parts of the brain which modulates neuronal activity. It has strong potentiality in the field of medical and neuroscientific research. Anodal stimu...

Non-invasive transcranial direct current stimulation for the study and treatment of neuropathic pain.

In the last decade, radiological neuroimaging techniques have enhanced the study of mechanisms involved in the development and maintenance of neuropathic pain. Recent findings suggest that neuropathic pain in certain pain syndromes (e.g., complex regional pain syndrome/reflex sympathic dystrophy, phantom-limb pain) is associated with a functional reorganization and hyperexitability of the somat...
